Professor Bayu Taruna Widjaja Putra, Ph.D is a Full Professor in Precision Agriculture at the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, University of Jember, Indonesia. He received his Ph.D. degree from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand in 2017. His research interests include precision agricultural technologies, remote sensing, GIS, machine learning, computer vision, deep learning, IoT, and smart farming systems. Prof. Putra serves as Indonesia’s Country Representative for the International Society of Precision Agriculture (ISPAG) and is actively involved in professional organisations such as IEEE and ISPRS, contributing to advancements in technology-driven solutions for sustainable agricultural productivity and intelligent field monitoring systems.
