IJ-FANRes does not apply publication charges at present and all manuscripts are evaluated strictly based on scientific merit, methodological rigor, originality, and compliance with journal quality standards; beginning in 2027, the journal will implement an Article Processing Charge (APC) model applied only after manuscript acceptance to support editorial handling, DOI registration, indexing administration, article production, and long-term digital archiving; APC payment will not influence editorial decisions or peer-review outcomes, and publication quality benchmarks will be upheld without compromise; and the journal operations and publishing infrastructure are currently partially supported by the FANRes International Network.
